The Cypress Creek Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-28 win over Ridge Community on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Cypress Creek as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Iliana Dorvilus, who scored 20 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Giani Moreno, who scored 15 points.
Ridge Community lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being T. Bodison, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds. Bodison is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. V. Marcelin was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cypress Creek's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Ridge Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Cypress Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against University at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridge Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Davenport will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
