The team relied heavily on Sean Rogers, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Upper Merion Area's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nathan Gordon, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI.

Andrew Nagata looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Jack Rieg was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Grayson Sabo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Upper Merion Area's record is now 7-9. As for Upper Perkiomen, their record now sits at 15-3.
Upper Merion Area skirted past Upper Perkiomen 2-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
