Jefferson is 2-7 against Adamson since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jefferson Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Adamson Leopards at 7:30 p.m. Jefferson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Jefferson had to suffer through a rough 96-19 loss at the hands of White. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1472nd, while White is ranked 72nd).
Meanwhile, Adamson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 64-15 loss at the hands of Wilson. Adamson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.
Creekview's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Jefferson's defeat dropped theirs to 0-5.
Jefferson came out on top in a nail-biter against Adamson in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 57-54. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Adamson's Jayden Ortiz, who scored 24 points. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Jefferson to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
