Foundation Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Edgewood. They walked away with a 33-26 victory over the Edgewood Red Wolves. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Foundation Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Parker out in front who posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Parker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lily Holloman, who put up four points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Foundation Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Edgewood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Foundation Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
