The Panguitch Bobcats will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the San Juan Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Panguitch had taken Millard down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Bobcats took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their loss, Panguitch saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Trenton Virga, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 18 boards, was perhaps the best of all. Virga is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Coby Bentley, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 15 points.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Juan, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Green River last Tuesday as they made off with a 77-55 win. The Broncos pushed the score to 64-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.
San Juan's win came from a few key players Panguitch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tripp Palmer, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Nieves, who went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
San Juan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
San Juan's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Panguitch, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Panguitch has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 37 boards per game. However, it's not like San Juan struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 47 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Panguitch against San Juan when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-43 victory. In that game, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 44-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
