The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets won the last time they faced the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders, and things went their way on Saturday too. Lower Richland walked away with a 57-47 victory over Heathwood Hall Episcopal. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lower Richland.
Despite the loss, Heathwood Hall Episcopal had strong showings from Chase Reuss, who scored 14 points, and Nic Nichols, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The contest was Nichols' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Pertile, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Lower Richland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Lower Richland is on the road again on Friday and play against River Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Heathwood Hall Episcopal and Ben Lippen will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
