Indian Creek extended the longest winning streak in Ohio Valley AAAAA this week by beating Edison, 53-18. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Indian Creek was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Andrew Connor's team vanquished the Wildcats 53-18 earlier in the week.
Wheeling Park's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Phillips threw for 149 and one touchdown and Bryce Ingram had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Ingram chipped in 140 yards.
The Patriots' Phillips and Eric Banks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 1139 yards this season, while Banks has 29 catches for 511 yards. Morgantown's Chazzy Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 1503.
A big matchup in Ohio Valley AAAAA this week will be when Brooke takes on the Mohigans. As it stands, the Bruins are in 11th, while Morgantown is in fourth.
Cambridge took down Meadowbrook 71-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
