There's no place like home for the Chisholm Trail Rangers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over Bell. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-9.
Leading Chisholm Trail to victory were Javon Smith and Kaden Richardson. Smith scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Richardson scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Chisholm Trail's points. Another player making a difference was Archange Mutombo, who scored eight points.
Elijah E thompson and Keyaun Williams certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. E thompson scored 14 points, while Williams scored eight points along with three steals. E thompson also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Chisholm Trail pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Chisholm Trail will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Wyatt at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wyatt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Bell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crowley at 3:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
