Ville de Marie Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Ville de Marie Academy has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Fulvio Dos Santos, who shot 5-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds for Tri-City Christian Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dos Santos has scored at least a third of Tri-City Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Carnes, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Ville de Marie Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Ville de Marie Academy will be playing at home against the at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonoran Science Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the are ranked 95th). As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
