The Clymer Central Pirates won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by Panama 83-37. Clymer Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-19.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson White, who scored six points. Tanner Mihalko was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Clymer Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Carter Brink, who scored 31 points along with four steals for Panama. Brink is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryce Hinsdale, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Clymer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Panama, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Brocton the next time they take the court. Panama will host Brocton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Clymer Central will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
