Kaylee Kilgore made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Briley Masterson was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
The win got South Pittsburg back to even at 9-9. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, they moved to 14-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
