Meanwhile, Johnson City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Holland on the road and fell 64-37. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Johnson City in their matchups with Holland: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Johnson City had strong showings from Dan Flores, who scored ten points along with three steals, and Walker Jackson, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Jackson also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Florence's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Johnson City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
