The Victory Christian Center Kings proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 41) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 77-74 win over United Faith Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Christian Center.
Victory Christian Center found their leader in underclassman Justyn Whitfield, who scored 21 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Perry, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, United Faith Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from JD Bowden, who scored 32 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowden has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Deluca, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Victory Christian Center has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. As for United Faith Christian Academy, their loss ended a 21-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-7.
Victory Christian Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. United Faith Christian Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
