The Paulding Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 54-27 loss at the hands of Liberty Center. Paulding was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.
Paulding's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tori Schlatter, who scored nine points along with four steals, and Kayleigh Dunham who scored four points.
Paulding has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Liberty Center, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Paulding will challenge Defiance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Paulding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Liberty Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wauseon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Liberty Center is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 75th, while Wauseon is ranked 310th).
