The Pueblo Central Wildcats were the  30-21 winner over the La Junta Tigers when they last played one another  back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pueblo Central fell  32-24 to the Tigers on Saturday. Pueblo Central has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Pueblo Central's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Rosalia Martinez, who  scored nine points, and  Emeri Whiting who  scored seven points.
 Leading La Junta to victory were  Brooklyn Lovato and  Isabelle Aragon.  Lovato  scored 11 points, while  Aragon  scored six points along with 12  rebounds and three  blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Lovato has scored all season.
 Pueblo Central has  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last ten matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for La Junta, their win  ended a four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-15.
 Pueblo Central and the Hornets will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Pueblo County's favor as the  team sits on four straight wins at home while the Wildcats have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. La Junta will take on the Pirates at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
