Scotland County was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Paris on Monday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Coyotes a 10-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won four in a row.
Vincent Dale made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Scotland County is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Dale was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
