On Friday Avon take on Gayville-Volin at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close matchup.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-50, which was the final score in Avon's tilt against Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian last week.
Meanwhile, Gayville-Volin were fully in charge, breezing past Centerville 56-0.
Gayville-Volin's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Avon's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Gayville-Volin can add another positive mark to their record or if Avon can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Gayville-Volin's step.
