The Buhach Colony Thunder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Golden Valley 68-41. While losing is never fun, Buhach Colony can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 926th, while Golden Valley is ranked 324th).
Jaiden Sahota and Carter Chapman certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Sahota scored 14 points, while Chapman scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Elijah Garza, who scored four points along with two steals.
Golden Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izaivian Goode, who scored 12 points. David Denson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Buhach Colony now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Golden Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Buhach Colony will head out on the road to face off against El Capitan at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Atwater at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
