The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 59-45 fall against Linn. Onaga was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Linn apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Onaga lost, one person who can't be blamed is Konnor Nider. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nider has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joshua Daniels, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Linn, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onaga on the road again on Tuesday and play against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Linn, they will face off against Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Axtell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Linn in Kansas (Axtell is ranked 99th, while Linn is ranked 210th).
