Plymouth and Warsaw are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pilgrims/Rockies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Plymouth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Plymouth let Concord stack four runs on them in the third inning on Wednesday but luckily Plymouth prevailed anyway. The Pilgrims/Rockies came out on top against the Minutemen by a score of 7-4.
Gracie Patrick was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Patrick was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Plymouth let Haylee Busse and Lexi Pike run wild. Busse got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Pike went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Busse a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Derifield, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Plymouth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Warsaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to Goshen.
Raegan Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Warsaw now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Plymouth, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Warsaw's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Plymouth has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Warsaw, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Plymouth's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Plymouth skirted past Warsaw 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Pilgrims/Rockies repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
