Palmetto Ridge took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Community School of Naples, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Palmetto Ridge Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Community School of Naples Seahawks 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won five matches in a row.

Bryce Obrian tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those three hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Greg Corrasco, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles.

The victory got Palmetto Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Community School of Naples, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, Palmetto Ridge is taking a road trip to challenge Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Community School of Naples, they will welcome Canterbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Community School of Naples' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Canterbury's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
