It was a good run, but the Crockett Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-29 walloping at the hands of Brook Hill. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crockett has scored all season.
Brook Hill found their leader in underclassman Savannah Onley, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Onley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Remy Tonroy was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Brook Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Crockett will head out on the road to face off against Shepherd at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Shepherd will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1035th, while Crockett is ranked 395th). Brook Hill is on the road again on Saturday and play against Pollok Central at 2:20 p.m. on December 30, 2023.
