The South View Tigers entered their matchup against the Jack Britt Buccaneers on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. South View was just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Jack Britt. South View lost against Jack Britt in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 28-26 score last time.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyriq Clarida, who rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Anthony Farrior, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The critical scores for Jack Britt came from Kevin Jones, Jackson Powell, and Keith Tillett ii.
One reason for the win was Jack Britt's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Derrick Jones and his two sacks.
South View's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Jack Britt, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
South View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jack Britt also has no future games currently scheduled.
