Even though American Canyon and Sonoma Valley only combined for only zero shots on goal  on Friday, they still managed to score five goals in total. American Canyon fell just short of Sonoma Valley by a score of  3-2. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American Canyon in their matchups with Sonoma Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.

 American Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-3. As for Sonoma Valley, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5-2.
 American Canyon will look to defend their home pitch  on Monday against Casa Grande at 6:00  p.m. Casa Grande's last 11  matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sonoma Valley, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Maria Carrillo at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Maria Carrillo's defense has only allowed 0.5  goals per game this season, so Sonoma Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
