It was a good run, but the Park Crossing Thunderbirds unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Russell County. Park Crossing was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Russell County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Park Crossing lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Scott. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with seven steals. Scott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Jacari Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Park Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Russell County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Park Crossing will head out on the road to face off against Charles Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Charles Henderson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for Russell County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hardaway at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Hardaway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday.
