The Hillsborough Terriers entered their tilt with the Robinson Knights with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hillsborough managed a 56-50 win over the Knights on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hillsborough also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Hillsborough's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kai Martin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deana Epps, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Robinson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Annie Keith, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Keith hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. Another player making a difference was Natalie Ashburn, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Hillsborough is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Spoto the next time they take the court. Hillsborough will head out to face the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
