The Fort Lee Bridgemen will head out on the road to challenge the Cliffside Park Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lee is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Fort Lee came up short against the Scarlets and fell 56-43.
Meanwhile, even though Dwight Morrow scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Cliffside Park still came out on top. Cliffside Park took their matchup against the Maroon Raiders 66-57. The victory was just what Cliffside Park needed coming off of a 90-50 loss in their prior game.
Cliffside Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamil Gonzalez out in front who scored 13 points along with five assists and four steals. Jerelz Ortiz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Fort Lee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Cliffside Park, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Fort Lee came up short against the Raiders in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cliffside Park's Thomas Calabrese, who scored 19 points.
