Baseball Recap: Panama Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Panama entered their tilt with Central on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Razorbacks, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Wiles spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Panama got a massive performance out of Caleb Brewer, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Brewer a new career-high. Tyler Simkins was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run.

Panama was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Panama's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panama will welcome Oktaha at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will challenge Westville at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
