For the first time this season, Brookfield will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the LaBrae Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Brookfield was able to grind out a solid win over Badger, taking the game 13-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Madison Obermiyer was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Obermiyer was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Luciana Kolat and Elaina Boyce did most of the damage at the plate: Kolat went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Boyce went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Mariah Norris was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Brookfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for LaBrae, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let John F. Kennedy Catholic get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Tuesday.
Like Brookfield, LaBrae also got a great game from a two-way player: Leah DeArmitt. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts DeArmitt has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Riley Rowe was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Mariah Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
The win got LaBrae back to even at 1-1. As for Brookfield, their record is now 2-0.
Brookfield suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to LaBrae in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
