You can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Timnath Cubs's strategy against the Wellington Eagles on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Timnath blew Wellington out of the water with a 69-25 final score. With that win, Timnath brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Timnath found their leader in underclassman Luke Jacobson, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Nelson, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Timnath's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Wellington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timnath will play host again and welcome Estes Park, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Timnath focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Strasburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Strasburg will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Wellington surely won't give up without a fight.
