The Bayshore Bruins pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Palmetto at home by a decisive 69-55 margin. Bayshore has struggled against Palmetto recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Bayshore still got an impressive performance from Demetrios Kimon, who scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals. The contest was Kimon's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was William Strawbridge, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Bayshore now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Palmetto, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bayshore will challenge Imagine School at North Port at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Imagine School at North Port has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three contests. Palmetto will be home for the holidays to greet 212 Sports Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully 212 Sports Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
