Football Recap: Jamestown's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Jamestown dropped down to 7-4 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. The contest between the Red & Green and the Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East Tigers didn't end well, with the Red & Green falling 32-14. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-7 back in October.

As for Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.3 points over those games.

Jack Eskridge produced another solid performance picking up 76 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 95 yards and one touchdown. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Dontre Hampton also helped out as he racked up 124 rushing yards.

Jamestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East, they will welcome Penfield at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
