The biggest upset of the week belonged to Highland Park, who took down 461st ranked Detroit Community, 18-8.
Brian Henderson and Kion Siles provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Willow Run. The connection went for 67 yards, the longest such play in Michigan Metro this season.
Westside Christian Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Henderson threw for 284 and one touchdown and Siles had 117 yards receiving. On the ground Jajuan Kemp chipped in 132 yards. Karli Daniles helped Westside Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching five balls for 101 yards.
Westside Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Demarco Deasfernadez has thrown for 600 yards this season, while Henderson has 21 catches for 403 yards. Kemp leads the league in rushing with 398 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Consortium College Prep takes on the Hurricanes. The Cougars are in second place, while Detroit Community is in fourth place.
Consortium College Prep moved up to 304 from 354 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Michigan Metro. The Cougars were able to make the jump by beating Allen Academy 42-12.
