Basketball Recap: Balko/Forgan Piles Up the Points Against Goodwell

Balko/Forgan won the last time they faced Goodwell and things went their way on Monday too. Balko/Forgan simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Goodwell 58-17. With Balko/Forgan ahead 36-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Balko/Forgan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brya Appelhans led the charge by shooting 86% from the field to rack up 13 points and four steals. The last time Appelhans' shooting accuracy was this high was back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Littau, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 13 points and five steals.

Balko/Forgan has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 61.5 points this season. As for Goodwell, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.
