The Rabun County Wildcats waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They took down Tallulah Falls 72-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Rabun County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Welch, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Welch has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Burrell, who scored 14 points along with six assists.
Rabun County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Tallulah Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.
Rabun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tallulah Falls also has no future games currently scheduled.
