On Wednesday, Harding was able to grind out a solid win over Alliance, taking the game 54-45. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Harding has scored all year.
Harding was led to victory by Naujeat Jones and Chaz Coleman. Jones scored ten points along with eight rebounds, while Coleman scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Coleman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ny Coleman, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Harding and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Alliance, they bumped their record down to 3-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding will square off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Harding likes a good challenge. Alliance will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Branch at 6:45 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
