The Trojans blew past the Millers 10-1 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three games in a row.
Sarah Riley and Brooke Carlson dominated on the mound. Riley tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Carlson tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Carlson a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

Center Grove's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Avon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.
Center Grove's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Trojans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Avon, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Center Grove continue to outrun the ball?
Center Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Avon in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
