Greenbrier Christian Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Cox, who was ranked first at the time (Greenbrier Christian Academy was ranked eighth). The Gators took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Gators couldn't push the score so high this time.
Tyson Moravec made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Ryan Watson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Isle of Wight Academy). They blew past Arcadia 17-9 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Isle of Wight Academy let Wyatt King and Jason Chapman run wild. King got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Chapman went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Chapman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Rogers, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenbrier Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Isle of Wight Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Greenbrier Christian Academy took their victory against Isle of Wight Academy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
