It was a good run, but the Floresville Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Devine. Floresville has struggled against Devine recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Floresville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alissa Hilario, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Hilario pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kenzie Huron was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Floresville's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-13. As for Devine, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-8.
Floresville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Devine also has no future games currently scheduled.
