The Salisbury Hornets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 55-14 victory over North Rowan at home. Considering Salisbury has won nine matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Salisbury was led to victory by Mike Geter and Jamal Rule. Geter rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Rule punched in six rushing scores. Rule is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played.
Salisbury's victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points per game. As for North Rowan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury will take on East Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Davidson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Salisbury is ranked 54th). As for North Rowan, they will be playing at home against Elkin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elkin is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
