The Deshler Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 91-43 stomp they got on the road against Lawrence County. That 91-43 margin sets a new team best for Deshler this season.
Despite the loss, Lawrence County still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Wear, who scored six points along with eight rebounds. Wear set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Dame, who scored ten points.
Deshler is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Lawrence County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deshler and Brooks will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lawrence County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
