Antonian Prep's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Kanz, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Hannah McDonald was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Antonian Prep is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for St. Agnes Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
Antonian Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against Incarnate Word Academy at 5:00 p.m. Incarnate Word Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1048th, while Antonian Prep is ranked 112th). St. Agnes Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bellaire at 12:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Hopefully Bellaire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
