It was a good run, but the Seminole County Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 18-7 to Terrell County. Seminole County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Terrell County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Seminole County saw an underclassman step up: Kamauri Johnson gained 79 total yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Seminole County's defense sure didn't make it easy: Terrell County's QB was sacked five times before it was all said and done. Nicavious Henderson was especially locked on to Terrell County's QB and sacked him twice.
Terrell County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shaheed Huckaby out in front who picked up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown. Terrell County also got help from Chavius Jones who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.
Seminole County's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Terrell County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Seminole County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Miller County at 7:30 p.m. Miller County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Terrell County, they will head out on the road to face off against Randolph-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Randolph-Clay is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
