The Liberty Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Handley Judges at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Last Friday, Liberty didn't have too much trouble with Skyline on the road as they won 33-19.
Among those leading the charge was Austin Mawyer, who rushed for 105 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Handley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They breezed by Warren County at home to the tune of 48-7. The result was nothing new for Handley, who have now won three matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped Liberty to 4-4 and Handley to 4-3.
Liberty couldn't quite finish off Handley in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 46-43. Thankfully for Liberty, Emerson Ferguson (who rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
