After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Berean Baptist Academy, the Overhills Jaguars were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Triton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Overhills also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Jordan Bryant, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Joel Lalin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Triton still got an impressive performance from Romello Pegues, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Morris, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Overhills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.67 points. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Coincidentally, Overhills and Triton will both be playing Harnett Central the next time they take the court. Overhills will host Harnett Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Triton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
