Despite their defeat, Rocky Hill Country Day saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Addison Mahar, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, was perhaps the best of all. Mahar is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sophie Mahar, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, East Greenwich had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 50-35 bruising from Scituate. East Greenwich has struggled against Scituate recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Rocky Hill Country Day now has a losing record at 1-2. As for East Greenwich, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
