The Anacoco Indians will head out to square off against the Grace Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Anacoco comes in on 14 and Grace Christian on five.
On Thursday, Anacoco made easy work of Elizabeth and carried off a 15-5 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by nine runs or more this season.

Brooklyn Bryant and Raylee Mitchell did most of the damage at the plate: Bryant went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Mitchell fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Bryant a new career-high. Ava Davis was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Anacoco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabeth only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Monterey. The Warriors are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the tenth match they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Grace Christian let Rory Decker and Sydney Avery run wild. Decker scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Avery went 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Anacoco's victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for Grace Christian, their record now sits at 15-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Anacoco hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Anacoco took their victory against Grace Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
