Baseball Recap: Tulia Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Tulia lost to River Road back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tulia Hornets were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the River Road Wildcats. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Tulia got a massive performance out of Jacob Trevino, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Trevino has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was David Molina, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.

Tulia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Road only posted a batting average of .118.

Tulia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. River Road now has a losing record of 4-5.

Coincidentally, Tulia and River Road will both be playing Childress the next time they take the field. Tulia will head out to face Childress at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while River Road will host them at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th.
