Blessed Trinity extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region 6 this week by beating Towers, 59-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Titans.
Woodward Academy took down McNair 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
6-foot-4 quarterback Johnathon McCrary of Cedar Grove is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1441. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. On the ground, Blessed Trinity's Milton Shelton has rushed for 520 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Sam Roberts. The Blessed Trinity star has 15 catches for 308 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the War Eagles take on St. Pius X Catholic. Woodward Academy is currently in third, while the Golden Lions are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Ryan Davis' team takes on St. Pius X Catholic. The War Eagles have allowed 64 points this season, while the Golden Lions have given up 72.
