The Tabiona Tigers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They strolled past Rich with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. That's another feather in the cap for Tabiona, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tabiona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chance Lazenby led the charge by scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Lazenby is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Rhoades, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.
Tabiona pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rich, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Altamont the next time they take the court. Tabiona will head out to face Altamont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Rich will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
